ABOUT HENNA

Henna, also known as mehndi, is the art of applying a natural dye paste to the skin in beautiful patterns and designs. Originating in India, this body art is intended to stain the skin, leaving behind beautiful tones of orange to deep red for brides on their wedding day. Henna has since become more popular for a variety of occasions: parties, festivals, birthdays, weddings, formal events, and just for fun!

Note: It is strongly recommended to get your mehndi applied 2 to 3 days before which ever occasion you are attending.

Faux Freckles
Faux Freckles is a semi-permanent form of cosmetic tattooing that gives a natural, sun-kissed freckle look.

Why choose Faux Freckles?
Using a permanent makeup tattoo machine and a single needle or cluster of needles, the tattoo technique deposits colour pigments into the skin in a less invasive and traumatic way than microblading. This method is less painful and allows for more time in between touch-ups, lasting longer.
Beauty Mark
Beauty Marks is a semi-permanent form of cosmetic tattooing that gives a natural, speckled look.

Is my deposit refundable? No, your deposit is non-refundable. The salon has to be booked and paid for in advance by me for every appointment that I schedule. That means if you don't show up to your appointment, I am at a significant loss. If enough notice (at least 1 week) is provided and I can fit another client in your spot, I may be able to apply your deposit to your rescheduled appointment date. However, please do not rely on this option as if I cannot find someone to fill your spot, you will lose your deposit.
-
I have previously done permanent make up, is it a touch-up?If you have permanent make up previously done, whether it be brows, lips, or liner, this is still considered an initial appointment as it actually involves more work when it comes to colour and shape correcting. How much is your deposit fee?For initial appointments, my deposit fee is $100, payable by e-transfer to kyradoesbeauty@gmail.com. This amount is applied to the total cost of your procedure. -
Do you have a grace period?Yes, I do! My grace period is 20 minutes, but we may have to rush through some of the discussion or after-care steps. Note that being late takes time away from a quality, well-paced appointment. After 20 minutes, there is too much content to cover and we will have to reschedule. You will be marked as a no show and your deposit will be forfeited. If you are going to be 20+ minutes late, you will need to reschedule.

How long will the results last? The results can last up to 3 years, given good care and hygiene. Much of the colour is lost to the initial healing process, so it is crucial that you book your 4-6 week touch up appointment to ensure you get the long-term colour you want. Regular touch ups are a good idea to maintain the shape and colour, such as at the 2 year mark and 4 year mark, however after the initial touch up at 4-6 weeks, it is totally up to you how often you want to do a touch up.

Will it turn out like lipstick?Lip blushing gives a colour tint to your lips. After your initial visit, the colour chosen will fade about 60% as it heals. This is why the 6-8 week touch up appointment is so crucial, as it brings back the colour tint. To get a more flat lipstick like colour, more sessions are needed to deposit more pigment into the lips.

How many appointments do I need?A lip blushing procedure is complete with two appointments. The initial procedure, followed by a touch up 6-8 weeks later. After that, annual touch ups are recommended to keep the colour fresh. Please note, if you are doing a lip neutralization then a blushing, you may need three appointments in total.

What colour should I choose? We can decide together which colour would best suit your skin tone and visual needs. You can bring your favourite shade of lipstick and we can match something close to it!
-
Can lip blushing make my lips look bigger or more symmetrical? While we NEVER tattoo on the skin surrounding the lip, we work on lip tissue ONLY, we sometimes can have lip tissue that lacks pigmentation which causes our lips to look smaller than they actually are or appear asymmetrical. In these cases, we are able to naturally enhance the lips to restore size and symmetry while keeping inside our lips natural border.
