AFTER-CARE ROUTINE

WEEK 1

  • Do not touch your tattoo with your hands. Make sure you wash your hands before you do any after care.

  • Once you get peel off the second skin wrap after day 2, clean your tattoo area with a fragrance-free and gentle cleanser and warm water. Pat dry with a clean cloth.

  • Next, apply a very thin layer of aloe gel and let it sit and absorb into the skin for at least 5 minutes before applying a thin layer of the polysporin ointment.

  • After a few hours, once the ointment has been absorbed, feel free to use the moisturizer on top of the treated area.

  • Repeat this after care procedure 2-3 times a day for the first week.

  • It is okay to shower, however keep your tattoo out of the water for long periods of time. Remember it is a fresh wound and will sting with hot water. Pat dry once you are finished and repeat after care routine.

  • Remember: your tattoo WILL scab as part of the healing process. DO NOT scratch or pick your tattoo. This will pull out the pigment. Let the scab flake off on its own, and soothe itchiness by applying more moisturizer.

WEEK 2

  • Continue to wash your hands before you perform the after care routine.

  • Again, use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser to wash your face and tattoo area. Pat dry with a clean, dry cloth.

  • Moisturize your tattoo area 2-3 times daily for the rest of the week. You should have finished your aloe and polysporin treatment. Now your tattoo area needs to stay moisturized to heal properly, but also don't overdo it as it needs to oxidize to heal.

  • It is okay to shower, however keep your tattoo out of the water for long periods of time. Pat dry once you are finished and repeat after care routine.

  • Remember: do not scratch or pick your tattoo. This will pull out the pigment. Let the brows flake off on their own, and soothe itchiness by applying more moisturizer.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE HEALING PROCESS

Treated area will release lymphatic fluid for 24-48 hours. Pat dry often with clean cotton round or soft tissue.

Scabbing is completely normal, please don't pick it as it will pull out the pigment. The tattoo will appear lighter after the scabbing comes off, however will darken after the healing process is complete.
